Jim Eannelli

Jim began playing guitar at the age of 11. "My Catholic grade school wouldn't let me play electric guitar in church, so I started a surf-rock-rhythm and blues band with my two brothers." Through the years, Jim went on to play with many different kinds of bands. "A friend of mine once told me; If you want to get good, play as many styles of music as you can. Don't just do one thing!"

At age 17, Jim did a stint with a group of Chicago blues musicians who had just done a tour with blues great Albert Collins. "Those guys would ride me pretty hard every night. They would say that I was gonna be alright once I started using the 'men's room'."

Mr. Eannelli has played, jammed, and toured with the likes of: Brian Ritchie and Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes), Sam Llanas (BoDeans), Willie Porter, John Sieger, Colour Radio, Pat Donohue (Garrison Kielor), Rick Derringer (McCoys), Hubert Sumlin (Howlin' Wolf), and Pinetop Perkins (Muddy Waters).

"I think the coolest moment for me came when I had a few beers with Les Paul at Harpo's bar in Milwaukee. He gave me a hug like an old friend. It was PURE MAGIC!"
